TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The following Terms and Conditions (alongside any documents they refer to) regulate your use of our website, affiliated sites, services, applications, and tools. By utilizing servicemicar.co.uk, you are recognizing that you comprehend these Terms and Conditions and consent to adhere to them. This document replaces all previous versions of our Terms and Conditions.

Please read these Terms carefully. If you do not accept them, do not use the Website.

We may occasionally need to update these Terms for various reasons, including compliance with applicable laws, regulations, or regulatory requirements. Minor changes can be made at any time, and you are advised to check the Terms regularly. The latest update will be accessible on the Website. Significant changes will be communicated to you in advance. If you find any modifications unacceptable, you should stop using the Website and/or close your account. However, if you continue to use the Website after the new Terms come into effect, you will be considered to have accepted the changes.

References to "you," "your," or "the customer" pertain to any individual using the Website or services of Service Mi Car.

  • Completing a booking and subsequently receiving a confirmation email for a vehicle service, MOT, repairs, or any future service offered by Service Mi Car establishes a binding agreement between the Customer and Service Mi Car.
  • All individuals using the website or calling by phone to schedule a booking must be at least 18 years old and be residents of the UK.
  • We will provide the Customer with a detailed cost breakdown for their vehicle service before any work begins. All work and associated costs, including any additional work identified after a garage inspection, must be approved by the Customer before it is undertaken.
  • We strives to complete the Customer's vehicle service, MOT, or repairs within one day. However, due to circumstances beyond Service Mi Car control, a delay may occasionally occur. If this happens, the Customer will be informed by a designated representative.
  • All services are subject to VAT as mandated by UK law.
  • Depending on the make and model of your vehicle, specialized oils may be required for the service. All specialized oils have a fixed price. If your vehicle needs new spark plugs or a fuel filter replacement, these will be quoted on the day of service.
  • Service Mi Car is dedicated to minimizing its environmental impact while responsibly managing resources and reducing waste. As part of this commitment, we charge a minimum environmental surcharge fee on the total final bill (whichever is higher). This charge will be itemized on your invoice.
  • Depending on the fluid levels at the time of service, a fluid top-up (such as gearbox oil, axle oil, transfer box oil (if applicable), under-bonnet fluids, brake fluid, antifreeze, and clutch fluid) may be necessary. If a fluid top-up is required, a one-time fee will be added to your final invoice.
  • All parts used will comply with the vehicle manufacturer's service schedule and be of Original Equipment (OE) quality, in line with the manufacturer's warranty requirements.
  • Service Mi Car will fully maintain your vehicle's service history. Upon completing the service, your vehicle's service book will be stamped (when possible), a copy of the service schedule will be provided, and digital service records (DSRs) will be updated if applicable and where available.
  • All vehicle services completed with a 12-month or 12,000-mile warranty (whichever occurs first). This warranty covers the replacement of parts, should they be found defective, as well as any related workmanship.
  • Service Mi Car accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss, or theft occurring while the vehicle is in the garage’s care.
  • Cancellation Policy:
    • Service Mi Car reserves the right to apply an administrative fee if a customer cancels their booking. However, if a cancellation occurs because Service Mi Car is unable to accommodate the original booking date, no administrative fee will be charged.
    • The administrative fee reflects the expenses incurred after a customer has made a booking.
    • If you authorize us to proceed with additional work via telephone or any other form of communication, the 14-day cooling-off period is waived. This is because the work will commence before the end of the 14-day period. You may still choose to cancel any agreed work during this period, but you will be liable for any work already started or completed prior to cancellation, which cannot be undone.
    • We provide complimentary vehicle collection and delivery as part of all service packages. If your vehicle is not drivable, recovery arrangements will need to be made. We will provide quotes for the cost of vehicle recovery from the designated collection address, or you may arrange it independently with your insurer or a recovery service of your choice. Vehicle recovery is not covered under our free collection and delivery service.
    • Under the updated MOT test regulations effective from 20 May 2018, a vehicle classified as having 'dangerous' defects cannot be driven on public roads in England, Scotland, or Wales unless repairs are made. If such defects are not fixed, the vehicle cannot legally be driven away from the test center by either Service Mi Car or the customer. The vehicle may be collected using a recovery service arranged either privately or through our service, at the customer's expense. A vehicle with 'major' defects will only be delivered at the garage's discretion; we may request that the vehicle owner collect or arrange recovery.
  • If a courtesy or replacement vehicle is provided to the customer during the service period, it will be covered by the garage's insurance. In the event of an insurance claim, the customer will be responsible for paying the excess. Before receiving the replacement or courtesy vehicle, the customer must agree to all terms and conditions of the policy established by the Service Mi Car garage. If the insurance is not applicable to a replacement or courtesy car, we will notify the customer that they need to provide their own insurance.
  • We are not liable for any loss, theft, or damage to items, valuables, or money left in the vehicle during the course of the contracted work, including vehicle collection and delivery.
  • We will not be held accountable for any loss, damage, or delays in its services if such issues arise due to an act of God, industrial actions such as strikes or government disputes, or any factors beyond its control.
  • By accepting these Terms & Conditions, you agree to the stated service schedule for the appropriate service. We will refer to your vehicle's manufacturer service schedule, and will list any additional items not covered in our service schedule as recommendations. Any items not included in our service schedule may incur extra charges; however, these will only be carried out with your consent.
  • If a complaint arises, all communication related to resolving the issue should be solely between Service Mi Car and the customer. The customer should not contact the garage to seek resolution or compensation.
  • For transactions exceeding £1,000, or if a fraud alert is triggered, we reserve the right to request payment via BACS/CHAPS.
  • If an invoice remains unpaid, we may refer your details to an external collection agency, and all associated fees will be the responsibility of the customer, not Service Mi Car.
  • By using or accessing any section (including sub-domains) of the Service Mi Car website, or any other websites or applications owned by us (the "Website"), and/or registering on the Website, you agree to be bound by:
    • these Terms and Conditions;
    • our Privacy Policy;
    • our Cookies Policy; and
    • the Rules applicable to the services we provide, and you are deemed to have understood and accepted all these Terms.
Loyalty Scheme Terms and Conditions
  • When finalizing payment, customers may be offered the option to make an additional 'loyalty' payment.
  • This is a non-refundable deposit made to secure the price of the next service for 12 months.
  • After the 12-month period, we are not obligated to maintain the same fixed price for any future services.
  • We reserves the right to close or suspend your account at any time for any reason. This includes situations where:
    • Service Mi Car suspects fraudulent, illegal, or improper use of the Website;
    • Requested to do so by law enforcement, a regulatory authority, or a court;
    • Believes any of the aforementioned events have occurred or may occur; or
    • Your account is considered dormant.
Servicing Stop Premium Terms and Conditions

1. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Premium Subscription Service ("Service"). By subscribing, you agree to these Terms.

Subscription Services

2. Service Description: The Service offers members industry-leading affordability for year-round vehicle maintenance, labor costs, and parts replacement.

Subscription Plans and Payment

3. Subscription Plans: We provide various subscription plans with different features which are detailed on our website.

4. Payment: By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge the applicable subscription fees to your selected payment method.

5. Billing Cycle: Subscription fees are billed at the start of the subscription period and at each renewal unless the subscription is canceled.

6. Price Changes: We reserve the right to adjust subscription fees for any renewal period, but will notify you in advance of any changes.

Free Trials

7. Eligibility: Free trials are available only to new subscribers and are limited to one trial per person.

8. Automatic Conversion: If the subscription is not canceled before the end of the free trial, it will automatically convert to a paid subscription and the relevant fee will be charged.

Cancellation and Refunds

9. Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription at any time by emailing us.

10. Refunds: Subscription fees are non-refundable unless required by law or as otherwise stated in these Terms. Upon cancellation, access to the Service is immediately revoked.

Use of the Service

11. License: We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial use.

Intellectual Property

12. All content, trademarks, and other intellectual property rights related to the Service are owned by Service Mi Car or its licensors. You are not granted any rights to this content or trademarks except as expressly specified in these Terms.

Privacy

13. Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand our practices regarding the collection, use, and sharing of your personal information.

Changes to the Service and Terms

14. Modifications: We may modify the Service or these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any significant changes to these Terms via email.

15. Continued Use: Your continued use of the Service after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Lifetime Engine Flush or Fuel Treatment Agreement
How it works:
  • The Lifetime Engine Flush and/or Fuel Treatment is available for all vehicles and 4x4 vehicles (excluding vans or commercial vehicles).
  • Purchase a completed Engine Flush and/or Fuel Treatment at the standard price (including any applicable discounts) to initiate your lifetime agreement for one or both of these services.
  • All treatments must be performed by us to maintain the lifetime replacement benefit.
  • We will perform an Engine Flush or Fuel Treatment (whichever applies or both) during each annual service booked with Service Mi Car.
  • You must provide your previous invoice reference to verify your lifetime agreement.
Exclusions
  • The Lifetime Agreement is non-transferable to another vehicle and will expire if ownership of the vehicle changes.
  • The agreement requires items to be completed at least 11 months apart from the previous replacement and alongside a booked oil, interim, or full service.
    Your Finances
    • By depositing funds into your account, you direct us, and we agree, to hold them solely for use in connection with our services.
    • You agree that we may retain any interest accrued on funds held in your account.
    • Unless otherwise stated, all examples on the Website are provided in Pounds Sterling.
